I've been trying the game out using the Emporio release. Played for about 35 mins and very impressed. I want to buy the retail copy. Can the Valve thought police tell that I have been playing a non-legit copy? I've never allowed the game to connect to the internet whenever my firewall has prompted me. Do I need to remove all cracks and stuff before trying to register? I don't want to fork out for the game and then find I'm banned before I've even started

create a new steam-account and install hl2 there

uninstall it and delete everything about it then snap the disc up that you burnt it to also, Keep you receipt that you get from the shop so you can proove you bought it George W Bush - '...more and more of our imports are coming from overseas.'

just make a new account and register it to that. your stupid if you used your "cs" or whatever account you have to play the emp release.
