Thinking about a 2 week trip to Greece with lots of time in Athens but a large part in the islands.

I'd rather go in aug/sept when it's not so hot, but if I go in July is it really that hot that it might be uncomfortable? it's easier to get time off from work end of june - mid august Wink

Who told you It's less hot there in September than in July? Biggest lie since the landing on the moon.

I've heard from friends that Greece is very chaotic in July, especially in some of the most "trendy" islands which are the favourite destination of young people. I've never been there though so I can't confirm/give personal feedback;

Depends where you go but no doubt it will be full of us English. It will definitely be hot though.

March 12.3 9.7 13.5 13.6
April 16.0 14.2 16.6 16.6
May 20.6 19.4 20.2 20.5
June 25.1 24.2 24.3 24.7
July 27.9 26.5 26.1 26.9
August 27.8 25.9 26.0 27.0
September 24.2 21.7 23.4 24.6
October 19.5 16.1 20.0 20.7

Reading around it looks like the average temp is somewhere in the high 20s celcius
