Oh fuck you Apple. This kind of shit is getting REALLY annoying now. How long has the iPhone 4 been out? Not even a YEAR yet and you're already getting ready to flood the market with another one!? Same bullshit with the iPad.
Build a fucking product and STAND BY IT. Apple don't even support the iTouch 2G any more... how is that even legal? A product not even 3 years old and they've dropped support for it?

That white thing is likely to be the iPhone 4 64GB that was rumoured a year ago already.
As for that rumour site: 80% on NFC is false, that is confirmed NOT to be the case. It will not have NFC, at least that's what several carriers in the UK were told; they're working on it, but it won't be in this generation

This has been the case every year so far. Why are you so surprised? There is a new Ipod/Iphone/Ipad generation each year. People know that, and either you buy the product knowing there will be a newer one in 12 months, or you don't.

I'm remarking on how ridiculous it is to continually flood the market with new revisions of hardware, though knowing that fact means I am as equally pissed at the braindead customers who spend the same ridiculous amount of money each year. It just seems.... unnecessary.

While I agree that it is stupid that they flood the market like that, most people won't buy a new phone every year. Most of the time the changes aren't THAT big to justify the new version. And after 2 years, when the new model comes out, you can get that instead if you want to, maybe with a new contract.

Yeah that's not unique to Apple. Apple fans are more likely to upgrade every year though, easy to tell by the ridiculous amount of iPhones and MBP's being put up for sale whenever a new one comes out

But you have to admit, that Iphone prices are pretty solid. If you look at what a used Iphone is worth after 1 year, it is much more (in percentage compared to the new price) then most other phones would be worth after that time...

Exactly. That's one of the things that annoy me. It's one thing flooding the market with newer, revised and ever-so-slightly more powerful models each year... but the worst is that it does nothing for the prices of the older ones.

Could also be seen as a positive thing. So you can sell your old Iphone without such a huge loss.

The iPhone 5 won't be a huge upgrade. Probably just the A5 CPU and a few other internal improvements, but that will be it. The biggest improvement will be iOS 5 which will work just fine with the 4 anyways.
