after they have been deleted ?

i just wondered if any information that May have been said in the past can be obtained from facebook really, obviously if the screen has been grapped or printed then ohhhh shit.

He got a premium account with access to everyone, everywhere (even deleted posts!).
Had one back in the days, but got banned for lifetime because I stalked some people.

I suppose it would depend on the nature of the complaint and country/place in which the complaint is filed in.
If the courts allow it, I'm sure FB can be petitioned for records of whatever posts/msg/conversation

Only in a big case would they try to obtain info from facebook. Actually there is a gang guy here, I can post a ink to him if you wanna see. Anyway he fled to the Philippines and bragged about it on f/b. So our government got him back with the cooperation of the Philippine government.

There is always the social hack-like way too. Find out personal info from different sources and guess passwords, secret questions. But you would know about that. You would been unable to sign into your account because the password would of been changed.
The guy could of gotten info from someone one your friends iist which is probably what he did. That is the easiest way. I mean, How far can you trust a co-worker when it comes to you bitching about your job. That type of gossip is rich, sucking up to the boss is huge! I bet your boss was told of comments after you deleted them. If your boss is on, he could have access if someone he friended posted on one of your links. Maybe your security is really low. Personally I don't trust ANY of their security.
--Really, never post anything on f/b you want to keep private. Never even knew about this premium account crap.

Another factor is where you are posting from.
Work/Public netowrk?
It's very common in workplaces to log everything.

However, if you are just talking about trying to find a job - IE. Potential bosses. Set your account to private and remove searching capabilities.
My workaround for this, my FB account is a variation of my name. Anybody that knows me can tell it's me, but yet if you searched my name it cannot be found. I think that's the best route. Who knows when facebook will decide to sell all of the archived information. Maybe they will maybe they won't, but it's better to be safe.

I think its a shame that people can be sacked or messed up for what they say or do out of work, in work its proffesional work courtesy to behave how they want people to, but outside your politcal or any other views should be yours without comebacks.

Well I for one wouldn't want people from work talking shit about me on f/b. It isn't that hard to have a bit of discipline and common sense of what not to say on f/b. Reputations come from a variety of sources, some a lot more biased then f/b. Ex's for example, someone you fired and just plain gossip. Those I think are the wrong excuses to fire someone. political view's, religious views, and discrimination around that should be protected to a certain extent. The grey areas around that would be a grievance to be considered by some workers right board.

Ya, you can bet if you post nakkid pictures of yourself, you are going to get it at work.
You know what I am seeing on F/B lately, people trying to publish themselves as these hot, elite, cool social life people. Seen in all the right places, parties, huge lists of friends, men with all these stripper like girls. it is like they are trying to prove they have a life or something. i deleted someone like that. Everytime I went somewhere with her she was obsessed with photo's being taken of herself. It was highly annoying. Then they would end up on f/b with some great sounding caption. And i would be like ??? ----you are NOT that Cool. It is really sad actually.
One guy I know has like a 2000 women friends in next to nothing clothes. He talks about how lonely he is (kinda) and how he is always at the gym (never see any body change in him), his daughter, basically what a good dad he is. He is trying to present himself as this outstanding catch who wants to settle down but hasn't found the right women yet!!!! He is trolling for women but he has no intent to settle down. -->he is a drug dealer to makes ends meet.
I find this fascinating.
Mine is pretty boring but I bet subconsciously reveal just as much about myself.
