Right. So I own a ps3 120gb slim with 2 original controllers.
Everything worked great when I bought it last summer - but all of a sudden both controllers got fucked up.
They only work using the usb cable and even with it connected it works like 10% of the time for a short second. Wtf?? I sent it back for repairs (and included my controlls + explained my problem). I got it back today after 2 (!!) months on repair.
Looks like they've changed the console to a new one (I had a scratch on my which aint there anymore)...but the problem is still there.

Wtf?? I included the controllers+base unit and they only seem to have checked the base unit... Im THIS close to smash the console into the wall..

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

ehm i have a question to you , how much WIFI devices are you using at this time ?
PS3 uses Wifi for its controllers, so they changed your console thinking Wifi inside your PS3 was toast, tested it and send it to you...

the usb cable that's in your PS3 only does 2 things : charges your controller and inputs the magic number of your ps3 Wifi to your ps3 controller

i would check for wifi interfirence , check if you have your pads magic numbers set correct or you can reset your wifi magic numbers by pressing the reset button on your pad [go see youtube if you don't know how to reset it] and that's it

Edit: Which ofc arent wifi...but you get my point

Edit2: Ive also tried to reset the controllers several times.

The machine is not even a year old and the controllers are original ones bought at two different places.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

when you reset your pad you have to plug it again to your PS3 with that usb cable

and by wifi interference i meant neighbors Wifi or some other like cell phones etc..

Yeah I know about that part.
If I check for neigbours wifi I can only find 5 in this area. 4 of them are public ones. Only 1 cell phone.
But the thing is, its worked great until like 4months ago when everything just stopped working.
