Every time I look for a headset the only thing people mention in gaming way is cod games and MW or other multilayer games, no one seem to mention HL2, portal or other grate single player games. What headphone or headset is good if I don't play multilayer games or do I even need a good sounding headset or just a pair that feels good to have on my head and around may ears?

I have been looking around now for some time and the best bang for the buck seem to be JVC harx700.

Now for my question. Is there any other headphone that is better for a lower price that fit for me and my single player games.

What is use now:
Creative Fatal1ty Gamer Headset

Sound card:
Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty

The jvc are loved for their price and sound quality ration.

I got good experiences with The senheiser px200 & senheiser px100.
purchased to use it in combination with my Ipod, but suits very well with gaming aswell.
PX200 produces a very clear sound while the PX100 gives you more bass.

Got HD 595 aswell, mainly using them while watching movie + listening music. Also got for gaming Steelseries Siberia V2, which i highly recommend for gaming. Very good bass for explosions and accurate sound overall for gun sounds etc.. They are also pretty cheap, dont get the USB version since you have nice soundcard already.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 200, cheap and perfectly fine for me. No need for $300 headphones.

I've just found the Sennheiser HD 201 at less than 20€ here, I'm definitely tempted
