this is crap
a good collection of games would be :
D2
Head hunter
Blue Stinger
Cannon Spike
ChuChu Rocket!
Confidential Mission
Dynamite Cop
Skies of Arcadia
Sky Target
Zombie Revenge
Carrier
Shenmue I and II
Ilbreed
L.O.L - Lack Of Love
Jet Set Radio
Ikaruga
but no we get :
ported to "hell and back" Crazy Taxi and Sega Bass Fishing , shitty Sonic and a crappy second part of button press game
I'm with fricy on this; it's a really poor collection. If Sega really wanted to win over their fans, they wouldn't have lumped us with shitty ports of the most generic Dreamcast games. Oh well... I guess Sega really DOESN'T like earning any money
You know what the worst thing is? Sega are no doubt basing their plans for bringing DC classics to other platforms.... on how well THIS festering pile of shit sells. Joy. Worse is that while Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure are generally really good games, they're NOT really good ports. I've got both of those from XBLA and the ports are just horrible Not to mention you have to pay extra to get the Sonic DX update.
I guess it was easier to release a collection of their OWN games for now. No hassles with trying to acquire the rights from the publishers/developers of other titles. I mean, Powerstone; Capcom. Sega would need to acquire the rights to it from Capcom and that means legal hassles AND royalty payments. JSR? Smilebit. So more legal hassles and royalties
It's a sucky situation, but I guess it's not impossible to understand why they did this. Doesn't explain why they didn't include Shenmue though, which was created by Sonic AM2.

Well, Smilebit was merged into SEGA ages ago. Now their name is SEGA Sports Japan. Not problem there, just SEGA wanted to make shitty compilation from games that were already available on XBLA...
I've got three DCs back home in England (two fully functional, one that doesn't output a video signal any more) with over 100 games. Right here, on my PC via Makaron/NullDC, I've got 127GB of DC ISOs. Yeah... I definitely don't need this rubbish. If Sega actually bothered treating their fans with any respect whatsoever, delivering a better selection of games, I'd have bought it.

Egh... I wouldn't go as far as to say "all" - there are tons of games that aren't "perfectly" emulated just yet. Don't get me wrong, the emulators (especially Makaron) are magnificent .. but not perfect.
Oh it won't be long before nigh-perfection is achieved. The major emulators (NullDC/Makaron) are getting better all the time, the only hold up on Makaron is that Deunan seems to be concentrating on Naomi at the moment, and NullDC is open source now so it just needs capable programmers to keep working on it.
