Yo^^.Yep,it's me,the "HEEEEELP!" guy^^;....

(Note: Actual owner of a Logiteh G5)

This time it's about Logitech and the Wireless mouses...got some doubts that i hope you guys could help me about (again,NO TROLLING )

Was looking for some wireless mices and found these:

Logitech Performance MX Mouse : http://www.logitech.com/es-es/mice-pointers/mice/devices/5845
Logitech G700 Gaming Mouse : http://www.logitech.com/es-es/mice-pointers/mice/devices/7244

I might do lots of gaming (when it comes to it,mostly i do "home stuff"),but i dont like the "Macros" thing (aka press a key and it does loads of shit in a mo')...the G700 seems to have great comfort at the bottom of the mouse and hand fitting, but i dont know if the PMX has it too.

So here's my doubts

1.Both have Scroll Wheel Click for fast scroll without the need of software? (aka press the mouse wheel into it and the typical "White circle" appears at the web page, precise scrolling.

2.Fast spin scroll is avaliable without the software installed?

3.Battery Lenght?..i saw the PMX has a AA Battery and i was afraid to overload it with the special USB cable that comes with the box and pwn the mouse...

4.I've heard people saying that the scroll wheel might have problems depending of it's use..is it true?

5.The back/forward buttons works without the software installed? (for web/some gaming purposes). My G5 works for what i said <<..

6.How's the Thumb feeling at the thumb area?,are the back/fowrard buttons having the same click and touch "feeling" like the G5,or are more "clack clack" noise/press?

7.Anything i should know before changing my mouse?..worth the buy or should i wait?...

Thanks in advance...main reason is for WIRELESS,thou my G5 can still live looooong..

99 fucking euros for the g700 wowzers..

Im grabbing a nager soon i think, been looking at all these mice with plenty of buttons and to me it seems the nager is still the best bet. although not wireless and to be honest glad its not..

My g7 has run its course it seems now, one of the main mouse buttons double clicks on on press and is very intermittent at times, even with a cleaning of the switch.

middle mouse wheel is fubard and drags. Its been good but im seeing the need for more easy access to some buttons on a mouse of late with my gaming.

I like the look of the g700 so like OP if there is anyone that has one or used one, comparisons with other mice would be great.

wait, kick out the G700,some website flashback reminded me it's NOT the best... ( Reminder! http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/peripherals/2010/09/20/logitech-g700-review/1 )

(and NOT recommended)

So it's all about the PMX (Barcelona Price where i live = 80€/$)

You should be able to fix your g7 I had the same issues with my mx revolution and fixed the scroll wheel by taking it apart and cleaning and now its good as new. I fixed the double click issue by following the guide in this thread http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=594646 now my 4 year old mouse runs like new again. Smile

G15 Refresh and the G700 here Very Happy

Actually, I had doubts when I saw the pricing and because it's wireless. But it's really the best mouse I ever had. Even better than my old MX500 and MX518. It's really amazing and suits me well because I'm often go to Lan-Parties.

The best thing is, you don't have to use it wireless. You can plug in your wire which is also your charging wire. And there are no precision problems when I'm using it wireless. The extra macro buttons are nice too and it's fully customizable.

If you got the money I'll recommend it to everyone.

I have a G19, G15, G7, MX Revolution, Harmony One and Harmony 880 from logitech and love them all. I have never had any issue using wireless for gaming. I am using the MX to play bulletstorm right now without lag or anything. I think the days of wireless being shit for gaming are over.

Should be fine, as for your doubts, you could've just Googled to find out. It's the same for all Logitech mouse however: everything on the mouse works fine without software installed, the software just allows you to finetune DPI settings and stuff like that.

So to go through them all:
1. Yes - Standard Windows HID Mouse Driver does this.
2. Yes - it's hardware functionality, not software.
3. It'll be have an overcharge protection somewhere, and the software will warn you anyway.
4. Doubtful, never had any issues with any Logitech mouse ever.
5. Yes, see #1
6. Go to a store near you and find out?
7. Noone can help you with this Smile

And cut back on your silly ;;;<><.,<<;;;;~~~^^ crap, only makes your posts more annoying to read Wink
