Not much else to say, I don't think that platforms have been confirmed yet (eurogamer writes "Saints Row 3 is due to be released 2012 on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360." but I think that's just an educated guess), but both of the other two games Volition is currently making (Red Faction Armageddon and InSane) have confirmed PC versions.

As I said in some other thread, neither Saints Row 2 nor Red Faction Guerrilla were ported by Volition. Don't blame them for the shitty performance or bugs of these ports.

Yep true I remember that thread  , still SR2 was one of the worst optimized games ever made. I mean, even GTA IV was smooth if compared to it

I'll prolly get bashed for this but I freakin' loved SR2. Played the whole damn game coop with a friend. Humor was pretty good and the missions were actually quite fun.

co-op was ok. The side missions most of them were pretty lame, and boring if you ask me. The customizations were neat but lacking, funny humor. Terrible performance.

SR 2 was okay (on 360). I actually enjoyed it more than gta 4. (Reminds me of old GTAs)

Don't let us PC gamers down this time, dare to release another "literally" unplayable game to the market.
A shame, cuz the game is fun.

i heard sr2 was a flying fuckload of fun, and indeed i have it, and indeed it did run like shit on a bike with square wheels... so sad... i hope sr3 is FUN and runs well, so ill finally get that great experience console fuckers were having with the second game.

I love playing SR on PC but in Windows 7 is it unplayable. All is too fast and slow down using cheatengine works weird

I'm with Namarie, yeah the PC version was a despicable port -- but the game itself is absolutely marvellous. A proper, honest-to-god, FUN game with tons of content.

It depends. I don't like these kind of games anymore, I did when I was a kiddo, but now not so much. I would rather replay an open-world RPG than play one of these open-world gangsta' simulators for the first time. I just can't see where the fun is in them anymore because all they do is try to bore me to death. Anyway, I played a couple of hours SR2 when it was released and it was fun for those couple of hours but the optimization of the game and the crappy controls annoyed the hell out of me plus I got pretty bored after a while too.

Yeah I tried SR2 because it was so strongly recommended by people online... But damn, what a terrible game. There was no point to it. I'm not talking about story either. One of the worst games I've played in the past ten years. That bad. Comes across as a game for sadists. Glad I'm not one.
