In some F2P MMOs it's possible to earn some premium currency in game which you can then use to unlock the things that subscribers pay for. Usually it's a painstaking process, but at least it's possible. I thought I would make this thread to try to list them. Here are a few MMOs that I've tried where I know that to be the case. You can add Lord of the Rings Online to the "can earn premium content".
