Quote:
GFI announce development of the sequel to a well-known tactical action - Cannon Fodder 3

Several military groups of Europe, Asia and Africa have made a military alliance to establish dictatorship by joint efforts. Your goal is to stop them at any cost… Even with a price of thousands lives of soldiers named “cannon fodder”, who are ready to die everywhere and every time it’s needed. ‘Cause it’s their work.

You have a small army which consists of only “cannon fodder” soldiers, who are ready to rush into fight with the enemy, sparing neither effort nor oneself. The player will have to pass several episodes full of cartoon violence among different locations, and the Earth is not the limit – it’s time to go into open space and show the enemy “who’s daddy”.

You’ll get classic isometric environment in full 3D, weather effects, change of time, destructible environment, physical water – all this and a lot more you’ll find in Cannon Fodder 3.

Cannon Fodder 3 is currently under development for PC and Xbox 360 platforms under Codemasters’ license.

GFI = meh

from those screens you see they had no vision, when i would design this it would be a 8-bit 2d game that slowly transforms into other dimensions first the 16bit and then the 32bit 3d

wait what? it shouldn't matter which dev makes a game..........? So if Diablo 3 was being developed by GFI you'd be as anxious and interested as when it's made by Blizzard?
So all the yelling back when Treyarch was making new COD games after Infinity Ward and no one knew whether they would succeed was for no reason? So it didn't matter who developed Soldier of Fortune Payback?

wtf dude

Neutral I don't even know who the hell GFI are, hence; why should that matter?

If nowadays it doesn't matter which dev makes a sequel to a game of a very special genre that no one else could fully recreate and make a worthy successor to the original, then I rest my case. Rolling Eyes

Well seeing as how Sensible Software don't even fucking EXIST any more... yeah, I think that's pretty much null and void. Besides, original developer be damned; look at TeamSellout17 Rolling Eyes I'd have rather DeepShadows released a new Alien Breed/Worms title than have to deal with the clusterfuck the ORIGINAL DEVS put out. Or since you're so keen on believing that only the original developers can make proper games; how is C&C 3 and C&C 4 treating you? Oooooh, right. Because that worked out better than expected, right? Razz

Cannon Fodder rocked, they were both amazing games, so let's at least see what happens with #3, shall we?

GFI will ruin it as they ruined everything else. And there's a big reason for that: they care ONLY about securing the franchise's name. It doesn't matter for them what crap is being sold as long as it's sold in a package that has a well-known name on it.

Maybe, but like I said; I don't know who GFI are - so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah well it's a studio funded and ruled by GFI just like Mist Land, so it's basically the same.

Is there anything like the MP mode of Future Cop LAPD ? The one where you build AI helpers, that work automatically.

Will Monday Night Fight (?) be something like that ?
