Very interesting stuff! The field of usage seems to be practically unlimited.
This should show us how good our actual "simple" brain is
The IBM dude is having a nice comparison when he says that watson has almost 3000 cores, 16TB of RAM, air conditioning, is as big as 8 refrigerators and take up megawatts of energy while our brain fits into a shoe box and is powered by a tuna sandwich and a glass of water
just dont connect that beast to the web lol. I dont like computers that can learn and self adapt ... Skynet and HAL anyone ? Imaging that beast online, it could bruteforce through most cyphers and protections like a hot knife through butter ...
You don't "allow" stuff, you write it. And while watson is a step in the right direction, you still have to teach it that it has to do stuff for it's own good.... Looong looooooong way ...
I still need to find the info when exactly the questions are passed over to Watson. After the question has been asked, the moment the presenter starts to read them out loud, or while reading them...
