Babylon (Channel 4 series)

Synopsis:

It's a TV dream team: Danny Boyle, Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong have turned a collective eye to sending up the police, politics and the world of PR. Brit Marling stars as public relations boss Liz Garvey, an American brought in to change the increasingly poor public image of the Met, headed up by Jimmy Nesbitt's Chief Constable Miller. But as this clip shows, she has her work cut out for her.

I would rewatch it. Polish TV butchered the series so my memories are not fond of season 4 and 5 to the point I recall them being utter shit.

Yeah B5 had a real good run from '93-'99 including Crusade Spin-off and all those movies. It doesn't need to re-done but seeing a new series with the name "Babylon" instantly brought be back... Memories..

So the first episode is out.

I don't really know what to think about it.
It really isn't a comedy show as it was advertised. It doesn't really know what it wants to be.
There are these half assed coppers who are presented as comedic klutzes. Then we got some drama with an ARV guy and some straight political stuff with higher ups.
It starts funny but soon becomes drama and political drama with some comedy relief moments pulled out of ass.
I don't know if it's a comedy show about British police or a drama about how shitty the police in UK is... It changes tone too fast and too often.
