I currently have an old 360 with a really old modded FW. The drive's FW is probably 2 years old, and I don't currently have to patch Wave3 games - it plays everything I throw at it.
I have now bought a Kinect, but not yet installed the stock newest dashboard so I can use it. What are my options for downloading and playing Kinect games? Can I just continue to download games and play as I would be expected to? Do I need to install a custom dashboard?
If I install a cracked Dashboard, will all my previous disks not work due to AP2.5?

all your disk are belong to us said M$....
but don't worry about it , all your older burned games will work , only those few that have ap25 in them will not
why don't you flash it to lt+ ? or do you play older xbox1 games on this xbox360 that where only compatible with this firmware?

Also, I haven't updated to LT+ because it would render all my wave2/wave3 disks useless right? My console was banned years ago, and I didn't want to waste the verbs!

So it will play all of 3 year old disks, as well as call of duty BOs - without any patching? I have never patched a disk ...
I could have sworn the latest FWs wouldn't play older disks? or has that time come and gone?

Ok gets worse - my brother installed the dashboard that came on the kinect adventures disk onto my hacked console. Does that now mean my only option is to install LT+ onto the drive in question?

i read on seven sins that TS-H943 will not need LT+ because it cannot calculate ap2.5 checks.. this is correct? sorry if its been answered here before..

well the thing is the dashboard update on those kinect discs is beta , you have to get the real update from M$ site now and reinstall it.. they kinda fucked it up with this update

dunno if those wave patched games work with Lt+... but yeah pirated Wave9 disks [Kinect games] and AP25 need LT+

looks like they should work if they have Slitvid on them ... but i say its bs just tested my Darkness game and Connan that doesn't have splitvid and both are made for Extreme Firmware and they both work ok so... i think you should be fine

Well it turns out all my older disks work fine on the new dash, no patching, no nothing. Haven't updated the FW for 2 years, on a really old drive / FW and everything is fine.

so is it hard to patch newer games? I don't mind running a simple script on an iso before burning if that's all I need to do...? I guess all the kinect games I download will need to be patched?
