My co-worker from britain is stranded in germany and wants to download some movies (legally, u know paying and all that silly stuff). Any idea?

i suppose this is a karma thing or something similar... so tell him to just pirate it, and donate the cash to a charity... s'all good in the lords eyes.

I could hook up to Netflix with my xbox if I made a US account, maybe he can do something similar?
8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!

Heh, odd that they wouldn't block something so obvious. Are there any decent european equivalents to Netflix? Paid proxy would work too of course, if that xbox trick doesn't work / he doesn't have one.

Legally? what does it mean?! 
We had (and probably still have) some on demand services here, but they didn't take off as expected, since everybody used to either download movies illegally or watch them directly in cinemas

you can try amazon im not sure how their European on-demand works but I know you can get shit loads of on-demand movies and tv in the States
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one

I've gotta give it to Hulu, they've decreased my pirate activity by at least 50%, always have good TV shows and always adding decent movies.

I think there is only Maxdome availabe, and Itunes, but I don't know how big their library is.
All other sites would have to be used with a proxy, most block traffic from Germany.
