Friend of mine just bought a Bluray/Home teather combo. She hooked up her laptop with HDMI to watch movies through it on her brand new HDTV. But theres only videos and no sound.
She have a Acer Aspire 5536-5255 with Vista and probably ATI Radeon 3200 in it. Bought it like 2 years ago and probably never updated the catalyst since then.
Anyone knows how to turn the sound ON for HDMI? Does she need lattest drivers to be able to do that via the Control Center??

Try different drivers from the manufacturer's support page.

You need to select HDMI in your playback devices. On my sisters Acer 5738 it looks like this:

And she'll probably have to restart her comp...

So where it says Realtek HDMI Output, has to be with the green check on it? Or has showed on the screenshots?

This. Set it as default, and if there won't be any sound try restarting your comp. Then it should work...
