If you have a steam account in good standing and have a few games in your wishlist, you are automatically entered into a sweepstakes. If you win, you get the top 5 games in your wishlist but "If chosen as a winner, each entrant hereby consents to the use of his/her name, likeness, photograph in any and all media for promotional purposes in any manner by Sponsor, its designees and its advertising and promotion agencies without further compensation or notification, except where prohibited by law." I find that messed up considering I didn't actually agree to being entered into the sweepstakes. It was just done behind my back. Or just by having a steam account, you agree to steam entering you into whatever they want you to be in? I don't like people making descisions for me behind my back especially descisions related to my name and photographs. People should be allowed to make choices... It's almost like if your electricity company(or some other service you use) signs you up for a sweepstakes behind your back, and if you win, you get money but they can photoshop your pic so you are wearing a pink dress and a have a d*ck in your mouth. You should be allowed to agree to such a thing before it happens? No?

Yes, you are right. I usually do read the terms of service before signing up for something but I made the mistake of thinking, so many people use steam, the terms of service cant be that bad and just signed up without thinking. And I also desperately wanted to play this game that you can only play with a steam account... It really sucks but nowadays you can't play a lot of multiplayer games without signing up for steam.

"wtfroflmaobbq"? No squirrel language please. I'm not afraid. I'm just pissed off I didn't get to choose, to enter the sweepstakes or not. Some people are okay with descisions being made for them 24/7(retards for example), but I am not one of those people.

So give them a fake picture. I very much doubt they'll send a photographer to your home to take your pic, after all. And unless your name is rare, sharing that is no biggie either. Since no one really gives a crap.

I removed all the games from my wish list so I'm not eligible anymore so I wont win. It's not about using my name and picture though. I don't expect a lot of privacy in the 21st century anyway... People can find your name and pic with no problem nowadays. I'm just pissed off I didn't get to choose to enter or not because I blindly created a Steam account. And I'm also pissed off that their terms of service sucks balls if you have to agree to Steam entering you into shit behind your back just to play some multiplayer game. I miss the good old days when a multiplayer game simply required an internet connection..
