The Grudge... mmm, saw it a couple of years with a normal stereo sound TV and it was nailbiting. I guess it's verry intense with surround. Thnx!

Mirrors did a pretty good job with the shock music, if you're into that kinda...2 second hair raising thing.

I've bought a Denon 1911 A/V Reciever
With 5x B&W M1 speakers
And a B&W asw 610 Subwoofer
I am installing it this week, normally ready to test in a couple of days, I've heard a soundcheck at the store and it was great!
Ontopic: Mirrors, that was indeed a movie with nice sound effects!! Anyone saw mirrors 2?

Yeah, I watched Mirrors 2 the other week, they really cut back on some of the effects in the gore scenes, but it wasn't too bad in my opinion. If you liked the first one you'll probably enjoy the second as well.

OT but who gives a damn, right?
Wait, what? They made a sequel to Mirrors? And according to the short discription I read it's almost the same movie? Raaaaage!

I believe he just wants horror type movies, but if we are going to go away from that, I'd say anything at all by Hans Zimmer , including Gladiator, The Pirates of the Caribbean Movies, Sherlock Holmes, The Ring, etc..

Not really, you can sit on the top of your seat with a really good soundtrack or with EPIC-HUUUGE Battlefields , oh yes, and ELEPHANTS!! The Ice-time MAMOTHS BULDERING in your surround room!!!

For great battlefield music, I'd say go for Gladiator once again, LOTR if you're into that, has some awesome battle scenes and some nice scenes that will test how low your bass can go before bottoming out. Transformers 1&2 will do great also for the highs and lows of the system due to the mechanical sounds as how everything is bassy
