According to the Xbox hacking thread, yes it prompts for the dash update so for now, I'm avoiding.

Yeah I played the first three GP's in career mode last night, and I like it  Handling is definitely better and "harder", especially without/low assists! Add rain to that and you are bound to spin out, unless you drive REAAALLY carefully, which is realistic of course, F1 cars in rain takes incredible skill to drive fast.
But attacking the curbs and pushing it in dry weather is great fun, especially when in battle (being alone in first place isn't much fun, but we all understand that) with other drivers. DRS works very well, it's very noticeable - when Qualifying you are free to use it whenever you want, and I use it on all straights, but it has happened that I've forgotten to "turn it off" when coming to a long sweeping corner (it turns itself off when engaging the brake, so for corners when you need to brake you don't have to think about it) and I get into a slide because of the lack of rear downforce. Also, you reach your car's top speed quicker when using DRS, just like you should. In the actual race though, DRS use is veeery limited, so don't rely on it  Haven't tested KERS, since my car doesn't have it (I'm with Lotus right now).
Other than that it's not that much different from F1 2010, not yet anyway. The paddock area works the same way, the menus/set up screens are more or less identical to 2010.. You still unlock engineering progress in Practice by beating a certain time/objective etc.
So if you enjoyed 2010 then 2011 is just more of the good stuff, improved all around.

yep, seems so. flash to 1.91 for now but i would guess pretty soon all will be XGD3 also.
