a flash cart i hope will soon be available for the DS (GBA flash carts work fine, and the EZ2 does not require a GBA SP to flash)...not so sure about the psp disc thingy though and what protection is used

I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

well, psp is supporting flash memory right? every UMD disc is 1.8 GB, they sell some 2GB or 4GB cards at the moment Very Happy .. so what we need is just roms.. and a way (maybe some firmware changes?) to execute them from those flash memory cards instead of the disc drive...!

Shouldnt be too difficult for "some" to make.. we just have to wait I think

Good luck with that. Their UMD disks are locked with AES 128-bit encryption. That encryption method hasn't been broken as of yet.

Erm... MS Duo are extremely expensive. The most you can get now is 1GB, so all they can do are rips. What you're talking about will be available in a few months, most likely, and a single card wil probably cost as much as the DS itself will by that time.

Therefore, effectively the DS will be piracy-free until 1 of 2 things happen:

- Memory prices come down enough for this to be feasible (<$50 for a 2GB disc)

or

- Someone will figure out how to stick these into the machine:

The MS duo are not that expensive 3rd party. Sandisk are about to release the 1gb model for £80 RRP, that is a VERY reasonable price Smile. Most stores seems to be selling them for £100/120 but compaired to the sony versions, its cheap as chips Wink!

just have a look on eBay for flash memories.. you can find some really cheap ones Very Happy
BTW I'm righ about to buy the Nintendo DS. I've been trying an import one and I think it's just DAMN FUN.. just loving mini games where you have to blow, etc.. like XY/XX or Wario Touched. I've never been a Nintendo fan but I have to admit that this is the time they created something really great.. some new ways to play! and that's enough for me..

I'm wondering if there's already any way to play ROMs (flash memories and stuff).. has anyone here got any news about it? can't seem to find anything useful..
