So yeah, decided to try out ubuntu 10.10 with my fairly new netbook(10.10). i've always wanted to try out a linux OS so i thought i'd give it a try.

Anyway, running the netbook edition of ubuntu 10.10 made me suspicious of how much my netbook has to work to run it. the temp according Xsensors is at 49-50 where acpitz measures 57-58.

When I ran on Windows 7 I only got 31-34 with max 42.

What do you recommend? Is ubuntu too much of a strain for my netbook?

Thanks.

No, you'll most likely need to install some packages to make sure it triggers its p-states and cooling Smile

Do you have any idea where I find those packages? No linux drivers for 1215N on asus support website.
