Space game and running away from stray robots? hahaha.

Yeah looks outstanding. I love games like this. They totally nailed down the environment and feel.
Even more badass is that it looks like it will ship with oculus support. Prepare to shit your pants like never before playing a game like this with oculus.

I'm just glad you CAN defend yourself, even if just a little. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Outlast yet and is probably the reason why I'm not all that keen on Amnesia - it feels incredibly restricting to just have to run everywhere, oh no! quick! hide under a table! Egh. I'm not looking for a DoomGuy "kill everything that moves style of game", just the ability to defend yourself if need be is enough for me

I love how they perfectly nailed that early 90's technology and setting as well. Really can't wait for this game and i'll likely buy an oculus just for it.
That video was so good..
Seems like survival horror is back in all its glory, or at least it's desperately trying to. 3 hours are fine as long as the game is well done (unlike Slender, a wasted opportunity, imo).
Shame the defensive weapon is actually pretty neutered
Off topic but the word "neutered" in this discussion means you think it's weak/underpowered or some such right? I'm just curious as I always try to learn words I don't normally use.
Yeah, I mean weak/underpowered/limited. According to the developer, you get two batteries and one of which is for powering the actual scanner itself. You can fire twice but then you need to find more batteries before you can even use the scanner, etcetera, I get it.. I'm just not keen on it. I kind of liked the idea of having something to defend yourself with :\
As I said earlier, I don't want a pewpew "kill 'em all, Rambo!" title - just the ability to defend yourself without having to run and hide under tables
Yes. Please remake SS2 with that engine. Please, please, please...
