What are people capable of when pushed to their limits?
In a completely frozen world, people develop steam-powered technology to oppose the overwhelming cold. Society in its current form becomes ineffective and it has to change in order to survive.
What does this change mean? What is culture when morality stands in the way of existence? Think about how survival may, in the end, leave us different beings. Whether worse, better, stronger, weaker or, last but not least, more or less humane – that is debatable.

If it will be anything like This War of Mine, feels will be had..along with frustration and genuine discomfort. Masochism_mode=on, hell yes I'm curious
Frostpunk, the city-building survival game by This War of Mine team 11 bit Studios, will be released by the end of March 2018. The marketing gears are cranking into life and we'll know an exact date soon, it sounds like.
"The game is scheduled to be released by the end of Q1 and we are right on track to make this happen," 11 bit Studios' senior marketing manager Karol Zajączkowski told me. "Starting from February we are bringing out the big guns, so in upcoming weeks you can expect a lot of news about the game, which should shed some light on the premiere date."
“We wanted to make it before end of Q1, but we ended up slightly moving the release further. The reason is simple – we needed this time for the final polishing required to deliver a game that, we believe, is the best 11 bit title so far. For us, production value is always the most important thing and a bug-free, carefully-balanced game is crucial to offer gamers the experience we want them to have. This War of Mine was a unique game about moral choices, and with Frostpunk, we are bringing this to a whole new level. It’s true that it took us some time to get here, but I’m happy to say that it was worth it!”
