Ascension is a psychological horror game where you play as Atticus, a grounds keeper who has brought his sick daughter to work
on the day of a horrible accident. Separated from her, you must find your way back before something else reaches her first.

Yeah you can but it is very very difficult. Most likely you'll be mauled so more or less you'll have to "Amnesia" your way through by hiding in the darkness and holding your breath.
Yeah I was surprised by how good the atmosphere was - especially the ending.
Although I till haven't been able to make sense of many plot details. If you finish the game post your interpretation  
1 and 2 are still amazing.
