I’m going to start this and flat out say it, children under the age of 14 should not be playing Rated M games. Now that I got that off my back, I can start my little rant. I have meet several kids in my gaming experience, and almost every time they were the worst people to play with. Teenagers are better than children with parents that don’t care.
90% of the children on M rated games are foul, disgusting, perverted, vulgar little know-nothing assholes who think they are the greatest person to ever play that game. If you do anything wrong they curse at you with their little high pitched voices and on top of that, when you do win, they’re really, really sore losers.
Now Stick and Stones MAY break my bones.. but, word can never harm me. I am not easily offended. They can be the foulest mouthed things in the world… It’s just words. I could care less… let them sling bigotry and hatred. What does it really do?
It doesn't really do much to me. But still, having some snot-nosed little punk whose testicles haven’t even dropped scream obscenities and racial/homophobic slurs at me isn’t exactly my ideal way to spend an evening. I wear headphones when I game because of this because I dont want my family to hear this while I try to enjoy the game working as a team with my teammates. PC gaming tends to draw an older crowd, and what kids are there are mostly more respectful.
I don't know what it is with M games and kids, but i have a feeling its the parents that let them play rated M games fault they act bad. If the parents let them play games as brutal as gears of war, then they must not do a who lot of other life lessons these kids need to learn also, such as respecting other people.
As the internet gets bigger and parents get stupider, this problem is only going to get worser. Kids take advantage of the ability to be anonymous on the internet, knowing that the worst they can get is yelled at over the mic. If i were there parents, they would be kicked off the game and grounded for months if i heard half the things I hear in online games coming from their little mouths.
Kids on E and T games are usually fine, but bring them into an M game, and they become the biggest assholes ever born, and don’t even get my started about Xbox Live…
Not sure about the M rated and kids being let loose on them etc, my son is 6 hes 40 in black ops, hes just completed the campaign also (not a good thing really btw), he has not sweared once during, and to be honest the audio is very little from voice I noticed in bops on 360, very few that Ive noticed actually bother to talk at all.
We were playing zombie mode, 2 on split screen myself on my pc screen here and I think I was probably more the one swearing lol's... Im fortunate maybe but my boy so far seems to have no interest in saying anything untoward he just enjoys playing the game it seems and the rest of the garbage doesnt even show through him..
He has also not sworn at school or said anything he shouldnt, I keep tabs and ask his teachers this regular as I do worry a little he may slip some time
I have started reducing his time on it alot though, I have noticed the addiction issues with gaming creeping in as he got a ton of other stuff for xmas this year not gaming/pc/xbox related etc and hes not interested
In the future the world will be run from a couch behind a screen, with multi use controllers in hand

Obviously not all kids are like your kid. Anyway, if its on the 360 you can disable communications alltogether. I did this cause i can't stand listening to those little shits while playing. In your account something about privacy settings and disable voice chat. Just look around for it cause it's there.
I used to play a lot of Team fortress and Unreal, even worked on a mod for unreal, but what used to piss me off was the Kid's, especially 13 year old American kids, I have never had the mic or even owned one since I stopped playing PC games.
I do not let my kids play adult games and wont let them play online adult games as yes it really does spoil it for everyone else.
I recently got an Astro Mixamp 5.8 wireless audio transmitter so I could use headphones wirelessly from my TV w/o any of the lag you get with bluetooth. In addition to the main volume dial, it has a second mix dial that allows you to adjust the ratio of the game audio vs chat audio. So now when I join a game with a screaming lil kid (or anyone annoying) I can quickly silence everyone, or just lower it in case other people start talking that I actually do want to hear.
I hate it when the game is loading and you can't see the list of people talking so that's when they start screaming annoying **** and you can't bring up the menu to mute people until the match starts.
i dont doubt that this kid has some serious issues, but no german would talk like that. the kid uses some sentences that are not every day lingo, especially for a kid his age...so it all sounds a little fake...
so how about blizzards decision to make everybody accountable on their forums with the real id? meaning that whatever you post, you post it under your real name. i wish they wouldnt have bogged down and made it mandatory. of course it might violate some privacy stuff, but i bet a snotnosed little brat would have thought twice before going on an insult rant under his real name...
kids these days, cant argue their standpoint anymore without using insults. i'm outting myself as a wow player and whenever a little kid has a problem, about loot, a wipe or something. it all starts with insults and cursing. they cant articulate themselfs anymore, without using insults. i wonder what will happen to society in, shall we say 10-15 years...propably nothing, because these kids will never amount to anything. they will be the next drive through cashier generation...
