Just to maybe get some guys to buy rb3... im having so much fun with it!
Best game in music games history... and even more. Thousand of customs besides over 4000 songtitels for DLC.
What do you want to know? There are still non-mildewed copys to buy
RB3 has a "pro" mode where you can connect real instruments (guitar, keyboard, drums), and it also supports vocals. In my case, i got the sound of RB mixed together with the sound of the e-drums (Roland HD1).
I have Rocksmith too, since my dusty old e-guitar felt so lonly, but im just more into drums. Maybe because i like to beat things
OK, thanks. I stopped collecting the plastic instruments after RB2/GHWT and was never able to fully enjoy the drumming part as my cats chewed through the cable on one set and the cymbal clip/holder broke on the other after I put them in a suitcase and flew them to a friends Xmas party (well, it was the return journey that broke them, so the party was still fun).
So, because of that I never looked at picking up the RB3 kit. But you say you're using a full drum machine? I should check ebay/Craigslist, I'm sure enough time has passed that these are dirt cheap now.
Yup im using a Roland HD1. Its not a bad kit, which you can get for around € 3-400,- used. The kick and hi-hat pedal are a bit uncommon, but you can get used to it...
And let me tell you, you cant even compare playing on the RB3 drum kit and on a real e-drum kit. If the HD1 feels like wood, the RB3 kit feels like stone. And its a huge difference if you have the sounds of your e-drum kit while playing to RB3 songs... you feel like a real drummer indeed.
Its another thing if you play on a Roland TD9, TD15 or so... thats again a world on its own. But unfortunately also not cheap...
