I know it´s Wii but the graphics are so bad. Might as well play the N64 version. I also agree about Craig, maybe it has to do with licensing issues? Otherwise it´s a stupid decision.
Hm. Dunno. Goldeneye was fun as hell on the N64 but playing the exact same game on my Wii? The better come up with some awesome MP ideas or this isn't gonna get too much attention from me.
There are games that I like to play repeatedly but the Goldeneye singleplayer surely isn't one of them.

Lol, well I know it looks bad but at least it has its charm. Still have my trusted old n64 and this game. The Wii version just looks "uncharmingly" bad.
I think, considering it's a Wii of all things, that it looks great! As long as they keep the same gameplay as the classic Goldeneye, then I just see it as a bonus Besides; the Wii remake (while lacking Brosnan, which is nigh-on criminal!) has local AND online multi! ^_^

Yeah it was something about the Bond-license I think, or it was Brosnan that didn't want to have his likness in it. He said a few times that he does not want to be connected with Bond anymore, it's a done chapter for him.
I tried it with Dolphin but for some reason I cannot save (it says it cannot read the memory card ) and save states are buggy as hell (no sound when i load them)...
Except this, the game runs at about 30fps on my E6600@3.50, dunno if it runs at 60fps on Wii, but 30fps feel laggy
EDIT : managed to actually use the save state... Just press the 1 or 2 button (Pause button) and save, it will work ! Now, the game is sometimes running at 20 fps here, which is kinda terrible and feels slow mo... If you guys know any trick to boost dolphin, pelase le met know !
So far I finished the first level and i'm in Facility now, and I like it, at least as much if not better than Blood stone ! Feels like Quantum of Solace, but better
I like it. Only been able to play first mission, but it's good. I am not sure if i'm going to end up loving, or hating it. The control take some getting used to, but the first mission is far more indepth than the N64 original. It's pretty arty, some of the animations are good too. Not fussed about gfx as imo I don't need outstanding graphics to make a good game great - just good gameplay.
Yet to try online etc, but this could be a winner!
This game has shocked the shit out of me. I was thinking about ignoring this game completely assuming it would not be half as good as the original. Damn was I wrong.
Amazingly its actually good, to the point where you would not even care about the graphics. And even the graphics are not that bad at all. Even multiplayer is fucking fun. Controls great on the Classic controller. I'm loving it. Totally unexpected.
My surprise Wii game of the year IMO. Its definitely worth checking out, and try multiplayer, its fun.
Its a shame this game may get overlooked by alot of people because of Black Ops. But if you have a Wii this is worth checking out. Especially if you grew up on Golden Eye 64 like I did.
It supports Both the New and Old Classic control for those who dont want to swing around their arms with the wand. It even supports the Game Cube controller, so kudos to Activison for giving people options on what control we can use.
Its probably why I am enjoying this alot more, because its much easier for me to aim with the classic controller, like I am playing Call of Duty on PS3 or Xbox360.
I agree to those that thought this game was a surpise to how good it is. I thought it would be some halfarse copy of the original, and over that the gfx looked pretty bad. I tried it and it actually brings more to the table then the first one. The gfx also looks pretty good once you're playing, with that I mean that they look good on the Wii. Still pictures does not give this game justice, I think it looks way better moving.
It's a very good game, try it even if you have your hesitations. For me this might be in the top 5 of my best games on the Wii
