This is pretty much self-explanatory, but allow me to lay down a few basic rules:

1. Please list in following format:

Genre
Artist: Album - description
Artist: Album - description

Genre
Artist: Album - description

et cetera. Please, no singles, minimal chat. I just want to set up a decent place to find good albums to expand an ever-growing music collection. Thanks.

I'll set the example:

Rock
Green Day: American Idiot - Great pop/rock album, somewhat political.
Hoobastank: Hoobastank - Linkin Park-style rock.
Evanescence: Origin - Goth/pop rock
Drowning Pool: Desensitized - Metal with heavy Gothic influence.
Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory - Pop/rock/techno/hip-hop influences. Interesting combination.
Jimmy Eat World: Futures - Pop/rock with a few good songs, namely Pain.[/b]
