Why don't you get Network Attached Storage (NAS)?
Just hooks to your network, a small box. Put in whatever hard drives you want, when you want to upgrade put in bigger hard drives or get a larger unit.

well 2 things

1: i really wanted an internal system that i can keep safe from ze new kitten that likes tearing shit up on my desk

2: i want something cheap and expandable, and NAS doesnt really fit the bill at the moment.... also i cant even see anything for sale here...

so what im asking is - that vantec ez-swap 4... is there anything similar to that (internal) thats better, and is vantec (and that particular product) a relatively solid brand?
