In anticipation of Halo Reach coming out next week, I thought it would be fun to play through the trilogy again beforehand. I own all of the originals on Xbox/360 but don't have enough "exclusive" access to the TV to devote to beating them all on the console, so I thought I'd play through 1 and 2 on PC. 1 went OK, but no matter which release I download for 2 I can't get past the screen where it asks for an activation key on 2, on Windows 7. I've searched on here and it's not clear, is there any way of getting H2 releases to work on a PC running W7?
Couldn't you just enter any serial for it after copying over the modified files?
(I might remember incorrectly but I think that was how this early LIVE title worked, perhaps needed offline mode as well.)
