I'm not sure if this is good news or not, but Sony have announced that they're making Men in Black 3, along with another Ghostbusters movie and Spiderman 4.

The MIB movies were great fun. Nothing special or dramatic, but both movies were good enough to enjoy.
As for Spiderman, the first and second were good enough. Hopefully they won't overdo the cheese like in the third one.

I actually went to the cinema to see Spiderman 3 with my mates and when it got to the part where Peter is all in his "emo cool" mode and starts dancing down the street I just had to walk out, I felt embarrassed watching that.

There's no mention of the cast yet, but I thought it was weird how they announced three major franchises like that, sort of as an afterthought.
I hope they're not stupid enough to ruin it all for a fast buck.

mib was awesome. mib2 was meh... mib 3 i just cant see as anything more than an excuse to put will smith in another FX movie... dont get me wrong, i like fx heavy films, but come on... enough with the sequels.
and yeah spiderman 4 can fuck right off... it boggles the mind how such shitty films could make so much money... same with those fucking star wars movies.

Most of the original cast are back, but only in a "passing the torch" capacity. Basically it carries on with a "new generation" of Ghostbusters. Definitely not looking forward to that, not one bit, but Men In Black III is going to rock  |
Oh, so its like Star Trek Generations where Kirk dies at the end and passes the torch to Picard?
That could work if they got the right comedians for replacements.
As for MIB3....I like number 1, but after that....not to big on it.
Hollywood needs to make some original shit....stop with this 'MIB3' and other such extensions. Same goes for remakes (cuz they fuck em up) and especially Comic book based movies...
The one movie they should remake even tho I am a huge fan of brandon lee (to bad the mafia killed him) is the Crow. Best superhero/vigilante killer ever imo |

Yes, exactly! Sadly though.... Eliza Dushku is rumoured for the part. I absolutely detest that bitch in any part she plays, so that's already a major point against GB3.

No original, GOOD, movies. Think of the 80's and the original shit. Even the 90's.
What original movie franchise from 00-11 can compete with say Alien or Terminator (they better make a part 5) etc etc? |

Yeah, and that's incredibly depressing..there has been some good stuff even recently (District 9, Moon, Inception) but they're rare gems amongst terrible uninspired concepts/movies such as Battle: Los Angeles, Skyline, I am number 4, Transformers 3, Cowboy and Aliens and all the horde of remakes/sequels/prequels planned |
