does it matter on the year of the pennies used? as newer pennies are composed of 97.5% zinc with 2.5 left of actual copper coating. according to this the only copper+zinc combo being brass i assume is 50-60% less conductive than strait copper. pre-1982 pennies are 95% copper and in my mind would be the best choice.
so am i crazy? is the difference trivial? somebody
