The PSP Is the Top pic, teh DS is bottom....

How can you say you cant see any difference??? The PSP Pic looks close to PS2 Quality where as the DS looks almost PS1 Sort of quality...

PLUS the PSP has that nice big screen.. Smile

RRP Price of a PSP is apparently £90 Smile

not in the Uk it ain't, suggested price is £180, £50 more than DS , then you'll need power adapter, memory stick, and extra batteries, lol

i'm in no way trying to suggest the DS is as good as the PSP (obviously) ,but i would rather play Mario64 than RR and more importantly the DS is available now for most people while the PSP is not .. maybe by next Xmas

hehe, But I would rather have a Big Screen, Better Games, Better graphics and about 3 hours play time Than have 2 tiny screens Smile Razz

In my opinion, the DS Looks like a "kiddies" handheld compaired to the PSP Razz

Also, the RRP is £90 apparently (maybe not in the UK (It might be) but seen as its region free I will import one at around the £90 rrp price if the UK price is £180...

This is what GBAX (One cool import site) Says -

Quote:
Dec 9th: Various things, we were offered PSP today but price was £275, so we will wait (the RRP is only about £90!).

and other sites / people say its £90 RRP... The Prices are high for now because the Demand is higher than the ammount that have been produced apparently. Give it a few months untill the Christmas Demand drops etc and it will lower in price to its RRP Smile

I think the £90 RRP Price is just for the Basic Pack.

yeah i know that site .. its true the rrp is £90.00 if u convert the U.S price to U.K pounds ... but i bet it retails for at least £150 in rip off U.K when it eventually gets a launch in Blighty ... but the point is you cannot get one "now" unless you pay really stupid money anywhere in the world at the moment, the first batch has sold out (@170,00 units) ... after Xmas the situation should get better

y is it that people hate on something simply because of the name it carries. i went and reserved the psp today at eb and just found a site selling ds'. to have a system like the ds is a great thing. its basically a n64 handheld. the possibilities are incredible. and the psp is also a great thing. people need to have a open mind instead of being so nieve.

Cause Mario, Zelda and Pokemon are the best games on handhelds. Racing games even though they may look nice don't play nice don’t have the feel.

RPG'S and Side Scrollers are what handhelds excel at. NDS is the choice because of those three titles. Very Happy

Technically Racing games on teh PSP will be just like playing them on the PS2.. The controls / buttons on teh PSP are just the same layout as a PS2 Controller which will make it good for racing games I think Smile

i'm probably going to buy a PSP as soon as more are available or they sell cheaper on eBay.. I'm not against nintendo but the DS really seems to be "childish" .. btw I'd like to try it to be sure

wondering if games are any cheaper than the Game Boy Advance ones, (50€ each!).. and if it's possible to mount roms on a 2gb or 4gb flash memory cards.. and then buy only the few games that deserve to...
Is anyone already developing anything like this? do you think it would be possible?

PS1 and PS2 sold heaps probably coz there was the chance to play copied games. Hope Sony didn't change their selling policy right now Wink

Yes Nintendo seems to aim at a younger ppl target then Sony.

Best example is the Gamecube which is a superb console, but with the exception of only a handfull of games, the large majority of the software developed had a target audience between 10 and 15 years kids.

Hopefully when the PSP arrives in Europe, it will have none of the reported bugs so far Smile
