J.J. Abrams and his creative team for the new Star Trek movie wowed the audience at Comic-Con in San Diego this afternoon as they revealed a casting coup: Heroes star Zachary Quinto will be playing Spock! And, to the delight of all 6,500 in the capacity crowd, Leonard Nimoy joined Quinto on stage as Abrams confirmed the elder Spock's involvement in the new film.
We've been waiting for over a year now since the next Star Trek movie was originally announced, but there hasn't been any real hard news other than who is writing and directing. But now, we have something to go on! Abrams also revealed new artwork for the second teaser poster. The lettering may be familiar — and once again we get an Original Series look — but this time the logo is inverted and written with starry letters, all on a white background.
abrams sucks, and the new star trek will suck. it'll have cool visuals, but aside from that, it'll be stupid, cant he come up with something new? and creating a new kirk? fuck off. im so completely against this film you cant imagine.
The 33 year old (recently out of rehab) Williams is an accomplished singer, but has almost no acting experience. At his Comic-Con panel yesterday JJ Abrams announced his new Spock (Zachary Quinto), but did say he was still looking for his Kirk and noted that it was ‘tough’ to cast the role.[see story] Anything is possible, but bear in mind the Star is the same tabloid that claimed Tom Cruise would be playing Spock.
I want this movie to be great so it will spark interest in a new tv-series. They just need to embrace the universe and stop trying to emulate Gene Roddenberry because there is only one Gene Roddenberry and he isn't around anymore, R.I.P.

After Lost everyones sucking Abrams dick. I guess they fail to take take notice of the fact that he never conclusively finishes anything. He sets a great premise, then fails to deliver in the end. Alias is a perfect example of that and I expect Lost to go the same way.
"Techniclly speaking, Beta-Manboi didnt inject Burberry_Massi with Benz, he injected him with liquid that had air bubbles in it, which caused benz." - House M.D
"Faith without logic is the same as knowledge without understanding; meaningless"
alias was basically a toned down ripoff of nikita... hardly some 'great creation' by the guy... mi3 was pretty boring, and yeah lost started off interestingly enough, but how much of it is down to the OTHER producers, and the writers etc... you cant ride on ONE decent show, that isnt completely his own work... like i said, some pretty special effects, but this movie is going to blow.
enterprise sucked more than nemesis did... and im not talking about a little suck, im talking about a prostitute convention scale suckage...
well, tastes are different for everybody, and i for one didnt really like Voyager, but liked DS9 and Enterprise. Even though the first season of Enterprise wasnt great (TNG's first two seasons were also pretty bad imho), it was good enough and everything afterwards got better with every episode.
Its main problem was having to compete with the much better battlestar galactica series, which surely lost the series some of its audience
Enterprise wasn't doing anything that hadn't been done before in the kirk series or the one with patrick stewart. Nor were they a prequel in the sense that showed the origin of kirk, spock, etc. And as for tpol's titsandass, they'd already done that in voyager. Sevenofnine ftw.
it is dutch and i guess it means something along the lines of "hello, i like funny movies, greetings, william1963"
but my dutch is a bit rusty, so no guaranties on it =)
no, with rusty i mean exactly that. One of my ex-girlfriends was dutch so i learned a little dutch here and there. My native tounge is german, so it is not that far apart really. Instead of "rusty" i could also have called it an "educated guess", better?
I can smell the pot al the way to here in belgium, dont even needs to buy stuff
myself , just need to go outside my house and inhale cause I dont live that far
from the dutch border.
