Back in the days (reading: 2007) past me watched a TV he really really enjoyed The Dresden Files. Past me thought it was really good. Then they cancelled it and past me was pissed.
Skipped forward:
Present day.
Earlier this year I finally got around to read the books the show was based on.
Again, I really really liked them.
So I finished almost all the released books by now so I decided to rewatch the TV show.
And there's the problem. Why oh fucking why did I do that?
Except for the premises I think they pretty much changed everything.
(Though I still wish they brought the show back. Paul Blackthorne as Harry Dresden? One of most fitting cast decision I've ever seen )
Yeah, I sort of re-realize that by now.
Still (though Jim Butcher seems to think different) I liked Blackthorne as Dresden.
I guess I'll just stick to the books then
edit:
While I'm at it, I'm just gonna rant about the fact that I have to wait for almost a year before I can read the lastest book (but that's more because I never by hardcover books :/ )

Now you're just arguing semantics. Getting fucked in the ass with a broom stale is an "improvement" over getting stabbed in the eye with a fork
