when your converting to cmyk and see the image in that format, that is what you should see printed, if not something is at fault with the printers... There are normaly very tiny differences with going with ur cmyk to an actual print but for the most part it should not look as bad as that does hehe..

Some thing majorly wrong there of course, but If you done the export and save correct in cmyk im guessing its not your end at fault..

It has to be on my end since, like I said, it happened with all the magazines I submitted it to, and this is not the first time. I'm missing something here...

Why not send the JPEG to someone on here, who has PS, and ask them to convert it for you? See if it turns out okay then?

Back in highschool when I designed papers, we used to convert all pictures to .tiff, I never really understood why that needed to be done, but the guy that was pro said that the pic quality is better with .tiff than with any other :\

Try saving the resulting page in .psd, .tiff or .pdf and not jpeg. jpeg transforms the color information into it's own color space. This MIGHT cause your problems Smile

Yeah I know, I tried submitting in all of the above formats (excluding .psd - nobody excepts it) and it still gave the same result.
