Seems like that storm is up here in Sweden, malmo atm. has been raining and thundering for about 5 hours straight and it's really heavy rain. Maybe I should disconnect Very Happy?

I also have the same router. But I also live in an apartment, that should be pretty safe right?

I bought DELL Surge Protector 2300J Belkin BE107201 for $8 shipped. You should have all your electronics connected to surge protectors. It also comes with a warranty of 50K if it fails during a storm.

There was another thread here on the board that actually said that no surge protector will save your appliances against a direct or nearby hit of lightning.
The normal surge protectors protect devices versus some fluctuations in the voltage of the net, lightning is something else.

Belkin will replace damaged parts for lightening hits. Im sure if its a direct hit, it will get damaged. But atleast you get your $$$ back if you use a surge protector. Im sure it protects you from indirect hits.
