Why are people always asking for tabs on youtube? I have no idea about musical instruments but is it hard to play a song without tabs? Was watching this video.
You use it because it makes learning a song easier. For a beginner guitarist it can be very difficult to play a song without tabs since you haven't developed your musical ear. Advanced guitarists can usually learn songs without tabs (just by listening).
The music in the video doesn't sound that complicated so people shouldn't really need yabs for it. I could figure this song out pretty quickly an I've played the guitar for a little under 2 years. But it might also be difficult to hear the different guitar tracks (3) and tabs help you because they show which parts are played bu rhythm gyutar, lead guitar and so on.
But that would require beginners to be able to read those tabs I guess. Because you hear a lot of professional musicians saying that they never learned how to read sheet music. I guess they are just better at 'playing it by ear'.

What's there not to get? It's the simplest system imaginable, doesn't require any skill whatsoever to read them.
I don't know anything about music and just figured/assumed that reading those sheet notations was not so easy. Going by the number of musicians who say that they never learned to read it.

It's very easy. Anyone can learn to read tab in about 5 minutes.
Tabs are different from sheet music. They are like a simple version, so that anyone can read. Tabs use letters to identify the notes (ABCDEFG) instead of symbols.
