We're pleased to announce that Men of War: Assault Squad will be released to an open beta status (that means anyone can participiate) once this group reaches 10,000 members! It may seem like a lot, but with help from our biggest proponent - you and all of our other fans, we're confident we can make it happen! While the game remains in a closed beta state for the time being, we are still giving away testing accounts for members of the DMS Steam group. Invite your friends, tell your buddies and stick around in both groups and you could be playing before you know it!

Sadly, I doubt it will reach 10000 members. MoW is hardly a very known, mainstream game.

how do u get the beta? ive signed up to groups etc anyhow but i mean where is the link for it if its open? i see nada.. the info is a bit vague.

How is "Men of War: Assault Squad - Open Beta at 10,000 Members!" vague? Beta goes open once the group reaches 10,000 members. It's a closed beta right now.

Maybe he isn't sure which 10,000 they are talking about. Is it the 9,999+1 or are they talking about 10,001 minus 1... Or 11,000 minus 1,000. Or -100,000 + 110,000. It's all getting very complicated here.
Moosenoodles, once the beta is opened up, they'll probably have a web page somewhere to sign up.

Soldiers Heroes of WW2 and these sequels have been by far my most favorite RTS/Tactical games.Always loved the fact you could take direct control of a unit,pick up weapons,refuel and rearm.Can't wait,especially for the nam version!

Wow, nice!! I love this series (however, Soldiers is my fav one - not the new ones), i have high hopes for NAM then!

Hopefully the scale in Vietman is much smaller (similar to SHWWII)

I just downloaded the missions packs off ModDB.Adds a lot more to the game.The missions are very challenging and there is a ton of carnage much like Company of Heroes action in some if them.I also got Price Of Terrorism mod but havent tested it yet.

I just hope it will be more like Soldiers - smaller scenarios, no frontline warfare anymoar! And more vehicles than in MoW.

Any Intel on a release date?
I remember Men of war was schedule for a September 2008 release and got kicked to March 2009, but then there was a MP open beta going for months already...
