And it's really starting to get on my damn nerves.

Right now I'm sitting in an air conditioned office, with a fan blowing right on me. I'm not warm/hot in any way, I'm not fat either (160LB), but I can literally feel sweat dripping down the sides of my ribs every few seconds.

I've tried every goddamn deodorant on the market, nothing fucking works..... Actually no mitchum unscented did the trick for a bit but I made my underarms unbelievably sticky so I had to stop using it.

Fucking sux...

I'm got this new old spice pro strength on me right now, but it doesn't work....

Time to see a doctor perhaps? Whats your deodorant of choice?

I don't get it... Deodorant's do not prevent the sweating itself, but rather prevent the smell.

But if you ask... Nothing can beat the Gillette gel.

when I was in the army it could last more than 24 hours, even when using it after not having a shower for a few days in the middle of the fucking desert in 40C heat.

Deodorant? Why use that, it'll make you smell more. Then again I'm not much of a sweater... and I think personal hygiene is rather important.

Isn't it unhealthy to NOT sweat @ 40°C ?

Deodorant doesn't completely prevent the sweating, not for me anyway.
It mostly just prevents the sweat from stinking...
But then again it's unhealthy being under 40C anyways, ask why the people in the middle east are so angry all the time.

like lutzifer said - diet and exercise. shaving your armpits doesn't hurt either

and if nothing changes, maybe you should really visit a doctor

Some people just sweat a lot, I've same symptoms, especially if I do sports.

Back in highschool I was doing sports pretty much on 'national' level (I played floorball 4-6 hours a day 5 days a week). I manage to heat up 20 m2 apartment after sports (I've measured my temperature after sports and it stays over 40 for 30 minutes to 1 hour) This also causes me to sweat a lot, I need around 4 liters of water to do sports for few hours.

But I also sweat really easily if it's even slightly warm.

At doctors, they can burn some sweat glands if you suffer from excessive sweating. Though, if you can live with it, you should leave it the way it is. Sweating is healthy -> You're less likely to die of heatstroke Smile

i might try shaving armpits, I actually have heard this before.

It's just really fucked up when im sitting stationary for 3 hours at my desk and sweat is dripping from my pits. Wtfux? where is it coming from? I'm sitting still ffs....

I cant even own a shirt for longer than a couple months, 'cause the pit stains are insane

Anyways, gonna try the armpit shaving thing and if nothing works im making an appointment with my doctor cause this isnt right, i know it isnt

Mitchum unscented roll on, the only thing that ever worked for me.... but sticky as shit

here sometimes "Deodorant" can by a synonym for "anti-perspirant" ... antiperspirants actually temporarily clog up sweat glands ...

I have the same problem .. it really sucks. And yes it ruins your clothes.
I'm considering to get some silicone shots that closes some of your sweat thingies.... but it is costing some money. And i don't really know if its that healthy.

It also seems i have it more from some kind of fabrics... still havent figured out what though.
Recently i bought myself a blouse for 190 Euro and i cant wear that... if i do ... it's completely wet under my arms and it looks like shit Sad

Has it always been like this ? Maybe it's stress-related. Does it happen when you're calm+happy and not at work ?

sweating is normal, some just sweat more than others. Use deodorants to cover up the smell, and don't use antiperspirant because it's not normal to clog your sweat glands. I know several ppl who had major problems with that, I think I even read some study that showed that using antiperspirants might cause cancer...

Shaving the armpits should definitely help to get rid (at least a little bit) of the smell, as the bacteria like to multiply there.

But this won't prevent you from sweating :/

There are some sort of minerals that you could try out. And as far as I know they are safe for your skin and health Smile

nouseforaname,

thanks for the links, def sounds like level 3 of Hyperhidrosis as the site described. I'll be making an appointment with the doc for next week, never hurts to get an expert opinion I guess.

Silicon to plug up the sweat pores? Hmmmm, honestly that doesn't sound too healthy to me but I'll ask the doc about that as well.

Someone asked if i sweat when I'm doing other more active things... yes, I do. But stress does seem like it could play a big factor in it for me, my job is pretty stressful, and thats really when i find the sweating most unbearable.

Either way, thanks for all the comments guys.

Also my one ear tends to get very hot and purplish... while the other one does not. Guess I'm a freak after all Very Happy

Ahem... shaving armpits actually helps me a lot. Some consider it gay... but who wants a smelly straight guy anyway.

Still, kinda weird :\ I don't mind sweating (true I'm not sweating like a pig, no offense to those who do), the important thing for me is that I don't smell, and for that I have Old Spice Whitewater that does the trick Wink

I never stink and I never sweat ridiculously, the girls just don't like the red suction spots on my skin though.

Yep they excrete some kind of saliva that enters the bloodstream.
It kills lots of unnecessary bacteria, since this excretion is alien to the human body, the body tries to lose it.
One of the methods used by the body is by sweating and then it kills the bacteria on the outside as well, thumbs up Smile
