come on.. postapoc films are all made of cliches, and fallout games weren't exceptions
all games have the same kind of story.. force player to zigzag as large distances as possible so he comes across every location

the film looks fun though

Definitely interesting, just started playing through Fallout 3 again with all the DLC. Very Happy

Dezel is a good actor everyone knows already but that trailer looked bad imo. Like it was a montage of poorly acted out action sequences that looked like they had nothing to do with anything. The concept seems good but they'll probably just string a bunch of shooting and explosions together to appeal to the general public. Hopefully im wrong and it keeps the same theme and atmosphere of the original games.

but seriously what are they thinking, everyone knows Will Smith is the only actor that should be used for post-apocalyptic, end of the world based movies

If he painfully dies (the sooner the better) in a scene, then yeah. Very Happy

Don't care much for Denzel Washington, but Gary Oldman never disappoints.

Not the 'same', but both are MacGuffins that fill the same function basically. It's a common theme in post-apoc fiction so this movie can hardly be called a Fallout rip-off.

There's no GECK in the movie of course, Denzel Washington's character Eli is carrying "The Book" which serves a similar function as GECK did (restoring humanity back to the level of advancement of pre-war times).
