hey guys i got a refurbished motherboard off newegg but after i put the cpu in and went to mount the heatsink there was nothing to mount it to on the socket so i went and looked thru my box but there was nothing there to use so i looked up the pics of the accessories and found the piece i was missing but i dont know the name of it so its kinda hard to look for anyways heres the picture of it.



anyone know what part thats called or where i can get it? btw i have an aopen ak89 board.

any help would be appreciated, thanks.

any idea where i can get just that part for my model? i googled it checked ebay and newegg and aopens site but i cant find just that part.

i am no expert with amd boards so i don't know where to get one, but with intel boards they are already installled, does the socket 754 need one? Take a look at this picture, i can't find such a module in this box either, so it maybe comes with the cpu?

nope amd box just comes with heatsink and cpu, i know that the motherboard is supposed to have it cause that picture in my post is from the newegg retail version and that comes up for the bundle everytime i google for it, but since mine is refurbished it didnt come in retail box it came in a normal brown box with just the manuals and ide cables and cds.

Theres nothing on the cpu socket to clip the heatsink onto atm as the heatsink is much larger.
