Firefox also has a very good adblocker and mouse gestures.

I am using the new Netscape beta browser wich is build on the Firefox browser.

The new beta features a switch there you can change the rendering engine between gecko and inet explorer. So in case you can't watch a site with the gecko engine you can simply switch to the explorer engine and browse sites who explicitly need activex, without changing the browser.

You can grab the beta here:

I'm using Mozilla firefox 1.0 for 99% of the browsing except for my stupid internetbank where I have to use Internet explorer 6.0. I believe that everyone who uses IE6 for general surfing is a bit retarded. The bank is very good, unfortunately their systems sucks. About Netscape, everyone who have watched the Mozilla development knew that Netscape/AOL would use the firefox engine in their browser. Sadly, the looks sucks and it's to much crap all over the browser just like Opera but more. The newer Mozilla themes won't work so I'll stay with Firefox. For the IE6 engine I use latest Maxthon combo browser.

Then you need to stop the laziness and switch to firefox fast. You won't regret it with all the crap that's circulating on the net today.

The problem is that Maxthon still uses the IE core so It doesn't follow web standards at all. It's pretty sad as it renders some sites unusable. They insist upgrading the browser to newer standards after hearing on some official announcements. It becomes some kind of advertisement from their side telling that IE+IIS+ASP+Windows=best and Firefox+Apache+xhtml,css+Linux/Freebsd=Sucks.

mix between IE and firefox.

doesn't matter what anyone says, IE is noticeably faster and renders all pages.

Oh yeah, and like the guy above I've NEVER had any spyware virus or trojan on my computer, it's incredibly easy to stay away from stupid ass sites that you KNOW are going to load up those things... and people who open .pif/.exe/.bat/.jpg(i suppose now these can have a virus) from someone they don't know... can you say... IMBECILE? ehhe

Oh well, it pays to be computer savvy... but I think firefox is an excellent browser too, I use it for about half my browsing (if it had session saves like opera I would probably use it about 75%)

One thing I hate... people who bash ANYTHING because it's microsoft. you people need to grow up.

About bashing Microsoft, I'm just telling what the truth is. They've telled themselves that their servers and browser apps are better than their contestant. As support I hear people shouting out that their browser has been hijacked, computer filled with spyware and so on all day. These may not be some computer pros but they have XP SP2. Some have antispyware apps some not. Computing should be made easy to individuals who don't understand all this malware thing. Is it really necessary to have all these prevention methods for just surfing the web? It's redicoulus, I should be able to surf whatever site I wan't without getting infected.
And my ass IE renders pages much faster. As a xhtml+css coder I know for sure like any other web coder that IE renders pages who follow latest standards wrong. Also, look at many Microsoft employees who run Firefox instead of IE. Just telling the truth, check "Get the facts" on MS site and you'll have a laugh.
I have been using the best prevention methods for dodgin spyware but in the end I got infected myself.
I'm also not against everything that Microsoft does and I tend to test the software before reading the MS label.

i use IE. I dont know, but it opens up faster than both opera and firefox.

It displays all the pages correctly
Main reason i couldnt use opera, becuase one of my fav sites looked goddamn dodgy.

Firefox just didnt appeal to me for some reason.

Ive had no problems with ie whatso ever, so i never needed a change.

My nokia uses opera though

For the Motherland!
