Hey people,
I just have a question for u guys.
Those are my components in my pc:
| Code: | M2N-SLI Deluxe
AMD Phenom II 940BE @ Stock (3.0GHz)
8 S-ATA HDD's
6GB Ram. DDR2 (800MHz)
850Watt Coolermaster
8600GT |
The problem is, I see posts on forum's with almost the same specs as me and a 9800GTX+
I bought a 9800GTX+ a couple of months ago but when I try to build it in, it keeps beeping because he see's no videocard, same sound as when I remove it.
I tried to disable all my S-ATA Drives and other components which are un-needable to bootup. But it keeps saying, No videocard was detected.
Maybe you guys have a suggestion for me?

EDIT: Got the latest BIOS. (Cuz normally M2N-SLI Deluxe won't accept Phenom II. The latest bios does. but onyl my motherboard is seeing my CPU as a Unknown AMD processor, it works 100% though.)

It seems latest BIOS is 1701, flash that.

EDIT: Just saw your ninja edit.
EDIT 2 : Does the card start working ? Does its fan work ? Maybe it doesn't have enough power ?

Just forgot to tell, We thought the card was broken, tested in other pc worked well.

They do beep when there is not enough power or you left the power cables out.
What does a 9800GTX+ take for power?
2x 6pin PCI-E right?

Yes I connected the power cables. The 2x 6pin PCI-E.
Its the beep of seeing no videocard. I've removed all graphic cards and it does the same, when I put my old 8600GT in it, it'll work. and its not because its having not enough power, because I disabled all my S-ATA and DVD Drives from my power supplier and it still does the same.
And srry for posting in wrong section.

Did you try some other graphic card? Could be a faulty slot.

Did you not read the post above?
Does the card physically fit properly and is it well seated? Only thing other than what you have tried that I can think of is if you actually disconnect everything from your motherboard that you don't need to be able to POST.. not just disconnect the power to the devices, leave just one RAM module in the board, and beforehand clear the CMOS and then reset the BIOS to default values.

All didn't work. It keeps beeping that it sees no videocard. (Long beep - short - short - short).
Tried another CPU cuz maybe that could be the problem, as my Mainboard officially doesn't support my current CPU. But didn't work either. Thinking about to buy a new mobo.

I have a similar problem built a new test system and wanted to use my old 7600GT card
but get no connection to screen message.
Power is active, no beeps - put the 7600GT card back into the old computer appears fine
monitor also fine.
Please Help

your setup doesn't even use 300w

The PSU is fine, unless it's half dead like Mortibus says. I doubt the setup even hits 200W under a normal load. Hope you can still cancel that order FusionDexterity 
Things to do/check:
- It has 2 DVI connectors right? Tried both yet?
- Does the system POST at all? In other words, does it give ANY beeps or is it completely silent? It should give a single beep if it posts OK, if it's silent your problem doesn't lie with the videocard but somewhere on the motherboard. Video problem is usually 3 or 4 beeps (depends on the BIOS brand).
- Try each memory chip on its own. If the computer stays silent, this is by far the most common cause for any problems. Had the same issue (silent, no video) with a Radeon 9700 in a P4 system not too long ago; turned out one of the memory sticks was bad.

Cleared the CMOS jumpers Removed the RAM and got two beeps.
Removed the heatsink for several seconds from the Processor warmed up gradually though not hot to the touch.

Doesn't matter anymore these days Kalato, hasn't for a long time. The only "compatability" issue that might arise is when the motherboard can't supply enough juice through the PCI-E slot.
@ FusionDexterity: Try booting with each of your RAM sticks separately. Does it beep when you have no videocard plugged in at all?

Well since the card works in the old PC, it's something in the new one. Might be the motherboard, might be the RAM. Trial and error rules for this

Every time i have had this and its about 3 times in all, it was due to the card not being compatible with the motherboard for some mad reason.
Had to replace the motherboard everytime.
The only way i could get the gfx card i had at the time working 
Ryzen 5 3600 cpu@3.60 Mhz.
hyper x 32 gb ddr 4 memory.
Msi Carbon gaming pro ac motherboard.
Evga 600 psu.
Msi Armour rx 8 gb 5700 Graphic card.
Ps4 Standard 500gb.
Lg 4k 42 inch tv.
Oculus Quest 2.
