o Up to 12% performance increase in ARMA 2
o Up to 8% performance increase in Batman: Arkham Asylum with GPU PhysX enabled
o Up to 50% performance increase in Call of Juarez: Blood in Bound with SLI enabled
o Up to 14% performance increase in Fallout 3 (indoor scenes) with antialiasing enabled
o Up to 10% performance increase in Far Cry 2 (DX9 version) with antialiasing enabled

New in Release 190/191 Drivers

* Includes WHQL support for DirectCompute with Windows 7 and GeForce 8-series or higher graphics cards.
* Installs PhysX System Software version 9.09.0814.
* Supports NVIDIA 3D Vision Discover, a complete, low cost solution to start your immersive stereoscopic 3D experience. NOTE: If you are using NVIDIA 3D Vision active shutter glasses, you must download the separate 3D Vision driver which includes the driver for the 3D Vision IR emitter.
* Supports CUDA 2.3 for improved performance in GPU Computing applications. See CUDA Zone for more details.
* Supports a new user-controlled power management setting for select GeForce 9-series and later graphics cards (only available on cards that already support more than one power state). This option allows users to set a performance level for each DirectX or OpenGL application.

Existing Support:

* Supports single GPU and NVIDIA SLI technology on DirectX 9, DirectX 10, and OpenGL, including 3-way SLI, Quad SLI, and SLI support on SLI-certified Intel X58-based motherboards.
* Supports NVIDIA PhysX acceleration on a dedicated GeForce graphics card. Use one card for graphics and dedicate a different card for PhysX processing for game-changing physical effects. Learn more here.
* Supports GeForce Plus Power Pack #3. Download these FREE PhysX and CUDA applications now!
* Supports GPU overclocking and temperature monitoring by installing NVIDIA System Tools software.

Well, to be honest I haven't tried upgrading drivers after installing w7. Previous experience is based on vista and xp.

I like how they added more support for newer titles, yet theres still hdr flickering in older titles like Fallout 3. How about they support the older titles properly before adding support for newer ones? Razz
But I suppose the titles that are no longer interesting to the mass media won't need the support, afterall it's the review sites you have to impress not the average user right.
And it's not even like Fallout 3 is some obscure niche title, it's about as casual and mass appealing as can get.

Thats probably true, theres no flickering in the 186.xx drivers which where superceded by the 190 drivers Smile
But of course those drivers don't support the newer games and so you find yourself uninstalling and reinstalling various drivers if you want to play different games, hardly optimal.

Google would help a lot but here you go:

http://downloads.guru3d.com/Forceware-196.75-Windows-XP-%2832-bit%29-download-2482.html

btw very good driver so far, at least for my XP. I still get choppy framerate in 7. Really dont now what to do against that. I use FurMark to quickly compare.

196.75 Drivers will fry your lovely nvidia graphics card. GJ nvidia again, this is like 2nd driver that fry´s your card?. Anyway my friends 295GTX popped smoke out yesterday because of these drivers, and he was playing WoW ._.. There is shit loads of reports cards breaking, so dont use these :>

"We're getting reports where users are getting intermittent low FPS after installing these drivers. It seems that it is related to the fan control included in these drivers not working correctly and is causing the video card to overheat on 3D applications. This will affect Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft and StarCraft 2 Beta. Please uninstall the drivers and revert back to the older ones."

A lot of people keep saying that, but there is no "correct temp". I don't have Everest installed, so I can't check what it displays, but GPU-Z just displays every single sensor that is available on the PCB, and it can't be incorrect. It reads it directly from the card's BIOS.

What do you consider "wrong" and "right" temps in your case?

Also, you can't feel the heat from the exhaust really, the air will never get really hot.

the only temp changes i see is gpu diode between everest and gpu-z, evga pt, memory etc shows same
from exhaust i can feel the same temps as they were with previous drivers, so when it shows in gpu-z 80c in everest it's 50c and it feels that way too Wink

besides temp jumps only can be seen if my pc wakes up from sleep, if i restart and use it without going into sleep it shows same temp in every app

Nvidia:

"We are aware that some customers have reported fan speed issues with the latest 196.75 WHQL drivers on NVIDIA.com. Until we can verify and root cause this issue, we recommend that customers stay with, or return to 196.21 WHQL drivers. Release 196.75 drivers have been temporarily removed from our Web site in the meantime."

I rolled back to 195.62.
