Question in the subject.
My TV has only one HDMI input and I'd like to connect both my XBOX360 and PS3 with the respective cable.
Can I just use a Y cable for that or would I really have to get one of those splitters who cost almost more money I can scrap together in a month?
(Mind you, I don't want both system to be on at the same time so that's why I'm thinking a Y cable should work?)
Problem with those is they either work with a remote control - and so they need to be connected to power, the switching is done manually, which means I'd have to set it up in an accessible spot but that contradicts with my urge to not see a single cable while sitting in front of my TV or they switch automatically and then they're expensive as fuck.
That's why I asked if it was possible to do it with a Y cable.
