| Quote: | In a frantic battle to the checkered flag, Sonic and friends speed around tracks set in medieval castle ramparts, lush rainforests and bustling cities, all taken from the visually rich and varied universes of Sonic and SEGA. Fan favorites such as Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo and many more will join Sonic in their custom built vehicles, revving their engines and jostling to stay ahead of the pack. Each character will speed around the track in cars, planes, motorbikes, and in Aiai’s case – a banana mobile! Secret short cuts, swift handling and avoiding strategically placed obstacles are certainly the best way to get to the top of the podium.
But winning is only part of the fun in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing! Each character has a specific All Star move – such as Super Sonic, Banana Blitz and Tails Tornado – that allows a quick way for competitors to get back into the race! Power ups and weapons can also be collected around the tracks and used against the opposition to ensure they don’t become a threat to that number one position.
Battle it out in single or multiplayer mode, allowing up to four friends to race in frantic split-screen action, or up to eight players to compete online in the ultimate racing showdown.
Can Amigo scramble Eggman? Will AiAi say bye-bye to Tails? Are you gonna be faster than Sonic? The race will start in 2010… |

After playing both demos, Xbox360 and PS3, I would say this kart racer looks very promising on both consoles.

Getting average to good reviews, about 8/10s
Shame its not coming to Wii, wouldn't waste a verb on this but would like to have tried it.

8/10 is a good score, higher than I expected it to get anyway after playing the demo.

yes it is, tried the PS3 demo, it's no mario kart, gameplay to simple in that respect compared to weapons and stuff.Also game has to much drifting on bends which is totally automatic like on rails like the old namco Ridge Racer games, press button to drift.
will get the wii version

Anyone played it? Is it fun? I heard it's way too difficult for a kid's game, you almost never finish the race first

Absolutely fun game, but drifting is the key to win your races... this game is like OutRun with power-ups.

That's bullshit , on the countrary, my 8 years old boy could finish almost all raced at first position. Very nice game indeed, worths buying it for sure.

this is one of the few games not working at all with dolphin, dammit ^^
cant even ask for help on the official forum since the game is not "officially" out yet

This is good I dunno maybe Im playing on to easy difficulty but im not feeling the excitment and there is a lot of poor framerate drops happening often even reviewers and demo had same problem.
