|
 |
I'm in the mood for these kind of games now. Just finished Doom 3 and it's addons. Have played Dead space, just havent gotten around to the third yet. Alien Isolation is finished.
Any recommendations? I've probably played most though. Outlast 2 was one i couldnt stomach as it just seemed boring and... boring.
Also, was there recently released a scifi horror game? think it was made in russia if im not mistaken, but searching has yielded little results so i might be wrong.

You mad ? That game is totally broken even with patches. For example, The hangar, where you have to hold the massive xenomorphs attack until your team opens the fooking door ! Besides, nobody helps you. Died there couple of hundreds times. So, I gave up and binned it forever.

No VR as i dont find it worth the investmnent. Moons of madness i've played though. It was the definition of it's the journey that matters, not the ending.

? this is mostly just a random list of sci-fi games which most of the time has nothing to do with either space or horror. how is deus ex space horror? it's good you excused Outer Worlds for "not being horror" though lol

I was about to insta-suggest the mandatory SOMA, Alien Isolation, Dead Space 1, System Shock 2 and Prey 2017 but I see that they've already been taken care of.
When it comes to sci-fi another recent-ish addition that I found interesting and surprisingly captivating is Observation, though it's rather peculiar gameplay-wise. STASIS is quality as well if you like the isometric point 'n click adventure genre.

Narcosis is another sci-fi game that's under water, similar to SOMA, I guess. Controls are a bit awkward tho

A good reminder to always skip or swashbuckle gearbox games, Randy had his way with Sega, spent all the money on boredomlands and seemingly got away with no fucks given.

Sunless Skies
Genesis Alpha One (still EA)
Not space but subs, Barotrauma. They actually have an Aliens mod where those damn things break into your sub.

Well, I couldn't think of any other proper scifi+horror games that haven't already been listed besides Prey, Subnautica (although it's a survival game it's scifi and it's got horror elements as you progress deeper into the sea), Metro games (post-apocalyptic with some horror elements), Bioshock (plenty of horror although perhaps not in ordinary way) so I listed games that had sci fi elements and a dark atmosphere as well which includes Deus Ex, Riddick... Control is.. I love the game but it's difficult to categorize (which I like actually, it's different).
