Im curious if I ended u with an infected version of ME2.. When I mount and run either autorun or setup I get:

"The following file could not be found: Autorun.xml" followed by my virus prg detecting a Trojan Horse Downloader.Agent2.GOV in C:Documents and Settings\.......Local Settings\Temp\nsv12A.tmp\Games.exe

or

"No supported languages found. Please contact Bioware" followed by the same infected file found as above....

Ive always known Keygens and cracks to have false positives, but never encountered this right at install.. What sucks is the size of it! hahaha Im thinkin I ended up with a bad egg version tho, anyone else run into this? I may just go for the xbox version if I have to reaquire it as i dont wanna risk the same infected version again! Sad

I'm most certain this is a case of a false positive. You can laways upload the .exe in question to http://www.virscan.org/ and run a check there. Also, empty your temp folder.

Maybe try reinstalling the game. If all else fails, browse the BioWare forums, I saw some posts related to the 'no supported languages found' error.

I think MSE also wanted me to send the launcher for inspection due to suspicion of dubious code. Who knows what virus/trojan footprint the developers hit by mistake.

I couldnt get the exe to upload to virscan.org, but was able to upload to http://www.virustotal.com.. I scanned the SETUP.EXE and AUTORUN.EXE file and got the following reports:

SETUP.EXE;
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/0a256c63d2ce3562644bd6bd760b6918b53860d014e5cea9cb57d69d790ec248-1264936371

AUTORUN.exe;
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/2a7582310626ac3dc41637d17ba52829cf01f44a8ec78d63661347a3028504af-1264698873

Im not sure what to make of this tho.. Looks like about half the AV programs see a virus while the other half dont...

Any opinions on these results? Im thinkin Ill just clone my system partition, install it and go for it.. Worst case scenario I get hit with a virus and just revert to the cloned image... Of course I was reading somewhere about some virus on ME2 basically stealing steam accounts???

Dude, why do you post useless antivirus reports ?

Are you afraid that your version is infected ? Then post the crc or the md5 hashes of the files and we can tell you if they have been tampered with.

New territory for me, thats why.. Didnt know if they would be useful or useless, now I guess I know... I guess the next step is figuring out how to post the crc or md5 hashes.. Its a start, Ill check google out and go from there I guess.

ok, so here are the crc and md5 hashes...

Autorun.exe = crc: E2BD2A2B MD5: 25AB30034BBFF2A48D469FC3EFC2ADA4

Setup.exe = crc: 8578967A MD5: A377F2825DC52A369EBD0EE4BA2D9869

Im guessing from here I need to compare those digits with known working exe's?
