Story is about their rivalry in NBA games. Mike Wang that left 2k and joined EA and after NBA Live 10 hes now back with 2k and naturally hes got some things to say regarding EA and their work.
Quote: | "Over at EA, you have so many levels of management, and you have somebody up there looking at unit sales and how 2K is kicking their asses, so now they want to change things in a great way because they can't afford to sell this many units through a three-year plan or a five-year plan. Here, we're always trying to do the same thing, we're always trying to make the best basketball simulation we can. |

I wish 2k would venture into football ( well soccer as they are from the US ) , although FIFA has a good product atm it's still no winning eleven 6 FE . PES has been in decline the past 4 years . sad state of affairs when their first effort on the 360 is the best they have produced on it
A fresh look on the genre would be nice :/

I think they are afraid of the market. There are two very established names there already and they are afraid they would fail like Sonys NBA games. But it wouldn't hurt, competition is always good. I bet that if it weren't for NHL2k, we'd still be playing upgraded nhl 99.

A 2K sports take on soccer/football would be interesting. And I agree with the NHL 2K comment: as great as it used to be, I do credit it with what we have as a great EA NHL product nowadays. I would have loved for it to maintain its quality but it didn't...but even still. I'll usually take 2K over EA any day.

2K is very American oriented, and football is not really popular in the US at all... :\
Also, obtaining huge licenses from FIFA (not just names, but faces, moves, etc) is probably next to impossible if they want to have as complete package as EA.

Yeah, the Live series is utter trash. NBA 2K at least feels like actual basketball, matching the pace and everything, where Live feels like an arcade game, only made slightly less 'arcadey' than NBA Street...
